It all began with a conversation between a father and daughter. Each had seen the tax and legal world from very different angles—one from inside government, the other from the private sector—but both knew the system wasn’t working for the people it was supposed to serve.
Brian Kelly, a lifelong public servant, spent decades inside the IRS and later at the helm of TIGTA (Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration). His work was clear-cut: investigate wrongdoing, uncover fraud, and safeguard the integrity of the U.S. tax system. If something wasn’t right, Brian was the one called in to fix it. He became known not just for results, but for his unshakable principles. At home, his daughter was paying attention.
Kristin Dickens grew up inspired by her father’s values. But while Brian worked inside government, Kristin carved her path in the private sector—courtrooms, boardrooms, and client offices—where she became a respected tax attorney and advisor. She built her career guiding high-net-worth individuals through complex estates, restructuring corporations, and helping families navigate pivotal transitions with clarity and confidence.
Yet, both saw the same problem: clients were confused, firms were overwhelmed, and too many people were left with the wrong advice—or no advice at all. Something had to change.
